Vampire the Masquerade is a game about politics. If D&D is a game about crawling through dungeons, then VtM is about clawing one's way into power. In this episode, Tristan and John talk about ways to enhance these themes in you games.
Tristan gives a brief overview of Jouvenelian political theory, how the Jyhad is a perfect analogy for the High-Low versus Middle phenomena, and why the Anarchs were always doomed to fail.
John discusses his favourite British political satires: Yes, Minister and The Thick of It and how to use the theme of obscured power in your games. When Princes and Primogen come and go, the true power stays with the forgotten Seneschal who "served" them all.

Onyx Path Publishing just finished up their Kickstarter campaign for the second installment in the Trinity Continuum setting books: Aberrant with a whopping 300% backing. Many know of the World of Darkness, but how many have visited the Trinity Continuum? To help us find our way around and to teach us the difference between a Talent and a Nova, we brought on our first special guest, TC Story Developer Ian A. A. Watson. In this episode we talk about the genesis of the new Trinity editions, focusing on the updated Aberrant and the new material and setting found in the Trinity Continuum Core Rulebook.

It is 1960 and the world is the divided. Scarcely a decade has past when the great powers united to defeat a hated enemy and now friends have become bitter enemies.
Yes, it's the Cold War...and As Above, so Below and as Below, so Above. The city of Berlin is a mystical microcosm of the state of the Fallen world where the sects of Awakened mirror the subtle conflict of the sleeper nations.
In this episode, we take one of the chapters of the Dark Eras book, Into the Cold, which is meant for Demon the Descent and repurpose it as a setting for Mage the Awakening while maintaining its themes. Join us on this journey as we delve into a great supplement of Chronicles of Darkness and hopefully inspire you to make it your own.

The Dramatic failure gang talks about how they feel about the Chronicles of darkness: Geist: The sin eaters!

The gang touches up on how the game makes for better character interactions and more!

"Safely" Inside the USS Istanbul, the Crew start plotting their next move on how to free their captured brethren from the Prison they have been placed in.... But disagreements in how to deal with their captors once they find them sparks infighting among the group...

And now! The exciting conclusion of the hall of mirrors!

Playing Prowlers & Paragons from Evil Beagle Games was a fun experience. The rules gave both the players and the GM the space to tell a wild Garth Ennis-style super hero story with out drowning us in crunchy rules.
After recording that episode, we at Dramatic Failure were so impressed that we decided to talk about the game, our experience with it and discuss super heros along the way.
But an idea struck us... P&P is such a tight system for powers and abilities, what if we could apply them to genres beyond just super heroes? And so, for this episode we're going East, young man. We discuss P&P's potential for Shōnen adventure campaigns by seeing if it can *stand* up to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
